It is a sport that’s emerged from the practice of using the sled to slide on snow or ice. To begin, athletes (two or four athletes) push the bobsleigh for 50 meters as fast as they can, to jump into the sled and descend the slide track. All tests consist of four runs over two days and teams with the lowest combined time win the event. Olympic bobsleigh events are:
· Two-Man/Ladies: Two drivers get on top of the sled. Both female and male teams compete in this event.
